I currently have a v6 in my chevette and as you said it is way to wound out. Along with harsh oiling problems. I was woundering how much it costed for you to put a tub chassie in your car. I can do the work myself but if you had some more detailed pics it would make it alot easier.
At the front of your car did you leave in the front sub frame and weld bars to it? tahnks kyle

Hi, I just purchased a 77 Chevette and not don't have a V-8 conversion plan yet. My Chevette also has some pan rust but have not done a close inspection yet. Do you have and plans or pictures of your tube chassis? How much money do you have in your chassis setup? Thanks in advance for your response. Ken

I was wondering IF you would be
Willing to weld up a set of motor

my friend and i put a 305 into his chevette, the only major modifications we did to this car include the engine and tranny, radiator, and exhaust. other than that it is completely stock. we went through almost all of the steps that you did. that was an interesting idea for the exhaust manifolds, we used ramhorns of of an old corvette. we are currently building a 327 and withing the next month it should be in the car. one problem is we run about 200-220 degrees. we have a brandnew 4 core radiator that is about 23x18. do you have any suggestions on what we could do to keep this a little cooler. what radiator did you use?
